To increase sales, the company is releasing more mid-range phones with incredible capabilities and innovative folding devices. Samsung is the clear leader in foldable technology, and the new S22 series is a strong indication of that.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is Samsung’s latest foldable. We found it to be an amazing feat of engineering. The Galaxy S22 and A-Series are more traditional smartphones with features that challenge the top phones.

The Galaxy S22 U 5G was Samsung’s first flagship smartphone in 2022. The S21 Ultra in 2021 was able to support the S Pen but there was no way for the S Pen to be stored, carried, or charged up. Samsung has fully accepted the S22 Ultra as its Note successor. It features an S Pen silo and flat and square design elements.
The Galaxy S22 phones were among the first to be widely launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon8 Gen 1 processor. The same resolution cameras can be found in the S22 Ultra this year, but Samsung has improved the camera’s capabilities in low-light photography. Samsung is a leader in zooming capabilities, with two telephoto cameras.

The 2020 Galaxy Z Fold 2 was a landmark in foldable devices that can also double as tablets. The Z Fold 3 may look like a minor upgrade to the Z Fold 2. However, at $200 less (with holiday discount dropping the price even further), Samsung offers S Pen support and IPX8 waterproof resistance. These are two features that many people have requested and Samsung has delivered again.
The cover display resolution and refresh speed were also updated to provide a high-resolution display that is 120 Hz supported by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The main display is now more durable thanks to the addition of screen protectors and improved panels. Although the three main cameras are identical, the under-display camera is a significant advancement in mobile technology. It’s great for videoconferencing, even though it can’t compete with its more obvious counterparts.
