Make room for the important stuff.
The iPhone is amazing for so many purposes. Capturing our most precious memories, staying in touch and up-to-date with our friends, and keeping our social media accounts updated are just a few of the many uses for our iPhones.
All iPhone users agree that it is annoying when a little pop-up appears telling us that our iCloud storage has reached capacity.
Obviously, it is obvious to do this, and it seems to be the most common action. Apps, photos, and videos are the first to go. However, iMessages don’t seem to be on our minds.
They use quite a lot of storage space on iPhones. We’re here to help you prevent this from happening.
You can make room for iMessage.
Every day, we use iMessage. We often attach large-sized photos, videos, and other attachments.
There’s a thing called a message hoarder. I know that I am one. I treasure old conversations and love looking at shared photos.
It’s sad to have threads deleted, but it is even more painful to delete attachments from our settings manually.
It’s important to note that the method we will share works best if your mobile device is running iOS 15.
First, check the space that iMessage takes up on your iPhone.
1) Go to Settings.
2) Tap on General.
3) Choose iPhone Storage
4) Tap Messages
You’re not a message horder, but you are in a great place.
1) Choose the Top Conversations.
2) Click the Edit button.
3. Select the conversations that you wish to delete.
4) Tap on the Trash icon.
You can delete all conversations at once. However, we have some handy tips to help you clear your iMessages storage more carefully.
1) Go to Settings.
2) Tap on General.
3) Visit iPhone Storage.
4) Tap Messages
This stage will allow you to see all types of attachments. You can filter the conversation to show only video attachments.
You can select the edit button to delete any videos you don’t like. The same process applies to photos, GIFs, and stickers.
You can do some things to save time and effort in your future.
1) Go to Settings.
2) Tap Messages.
3. Select Keep Messages from Message History.
4) You can change the setting to suit you: forever, 30 days, or one year.
Here are a few steps to help you avoid the middleman and keep your iMessages out of your iCloud storage.
1) Go to Settings.
2) Enter your name at the top.
3) Tap iCloud.
4) Toggle disable Messages.
This will prevent your messages from syncing across your Apple devices to your iCloud. Although it may seem extreme, it is the best way to unclog your storage.
It’s possible to try it yourself.
Your iMessage content could be the root cause of your storage problems. These simple methods will get you organized in no time.
These features can be tested on your iPhone, or you can buy a new iPhone.
